Aimed to raise the local fisherfolks’ awareness and familiarity over marine pollution and prevention, the seminar adheres to this year’s ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐˜๐—ถ๐—บ๐—ฒ ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—”๐—ฟ๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ด๐—ถ๐—ฐ ๐—ก๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—”๐˜„๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜€ ๐— ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜๐—ต (MANA Mo) “Pamana ng Karagatan: Para sa Kinabuksan, ating ingatan.”
 
Forty-seven local fishermen and women took part in the event, demonstrating high levels of engagement by actively participating in the discussions and workshop.
 
In his welcome address, Assistant Superintendent for Academics, Training, Research, and Extension, Prof Ronald D Barro, D. Eng., extended his gratitude to the seminar organizers and expressed high hopes that the participants would effectively carry out the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the seminar and workshop.

In addition, Ms Pastrana also encouraged the participants to keep one’s goal to be a contributor in mitigating climate change, highlighting link with one another, and with the environment.
 
Furthermore, tips and proper usage of paints, along with the essential maintenance of fishing boats were also presented by the trainers.
