Hybrid Seminar on Protecting and Conserving the Marine Environment #MANAMo2022

As part of the celebration of the Maritime Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA Mo) 2022 this September, the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy through the Department of Research, Development and Extension successfully organized and conducted the “Hybrid Seminar on Protecting and Conserving the Marine Environment” held on September 30, 2022 highlighting this year’s theme “Our Seas, Our Livelihood and Our Life Source: A Whole-of-Nation Approach towards Raising Maritime and Ocean Awareness”. PMMA faculty and staff and fishermen’s cooperative representatives and officials from barangay La Paz, San Narciso, Zambales attended face-to-face while representatives and students from the PMMA Graduate School attended online via Zoom teleconferencing. The resource speaker Mr. Jhouven Lyndon Manzano Rabara, Forestry Technician, CENRO-Olongapo City, provided relevant insights and discussion on how to protect and conserve our marine environment especially here in Zambales.
